The Opportunity:
This position will perform custom application development and database management. It will require providing client support services and infrastructure/server management. It involves utilizing statistical modeling and data mining techniques to analyze and report university data and direct less-experienced systems analysts/programmers. The candidate will code, test, debug, integrate, modify, and document computer programs and applications. Candidate should be able to communicate clearly and respectfully via Teams chat, email, telephone, and video conferencing. Telecommuting/Remote work option.
Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with developing tasks for the ERP applications; working with other analysts to design, develop, debug, and implement improved functionality for ERP applications, which includes developing estimates and project plans.
  • Using development tools applicable to the PeopleSoft system and Oracle database.
  • Reviewing and analyzing administrative business processes for re-engineering, simplification, and automation.
  • Preparing activity and progress reports: complying with department security policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with all applicable standards, codes, regulations, rules, policies, and procedures for supported areas.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions
  • Professional development experience with PeopleCode.
  • SQR and Application Engine experience.
  • Experience working with Informatica.
  • Peoplesoft CRM and COBOL is a plus.
  • Server systems: Red Hat Linux, Windows Server 2012+, VMWare, Active Directory, SQL Server
Special Instructions to the Applicants:
This position is a position of trust for UCF IT. The position manages vital information systems and data for the University of Central Florida. Candidate must be able to coordinate and participate in all aspects of computer systems development with all involved personnel and/or agencies. The candidate must have advanced knowledge of system analysis and design techniques and vast knowledge of the current operating systems used by the university.
