The selected candidate will join a high performing team focused on software in a DevSecOps development environment for the Maintenance Systems (MxSys) Line of Business.

The selected candidate will serve as a Technical Leader
responsible for providing technical leadership to a team of
engineers to ensure successful execution to cost, schedule,
and work product commitments. The Engineer will lead a
team of engineers skilled in DevSecOps methodologies,
tools and technologies. The team is responsible for providing
a Continuous Integration & Deployment pipeline to support
ground-based logistics systems. Duties will include:

• Ensuring operational best practices by working closely with

the deployment/releasing teams.

• Leading a team responsible for transitioning organizations

from agile and waterfall methodologies to DevSecOps
processes and tools.

• Implementing automation technologies and tools across the

software development lifecycle from requirements to
development to testing and operations

• Serve as a resource to multiple teams (dev, I&T, and ops)

to resolve issues on mission-critical systems

• Drive technical excellence, affordability, and continuous

improvement while supporting program execution and
adherence to engineering development processes, and promoting focus on customer value

• Employing Agile development principles and techniques

while providing guidance to the design, development,
documentation, and testing of a large, complex, logistics
software product

• Leader duties may include product ownership/management,

escalation and removal team impediments, and management
of risk

The successful candidate will need to pass a
security screening before interview.

Must be a US Citizen; this position requires a
government security clearance. This position is
located at a facility that requires a Secret DoD
clearance to be considered.

Basic Qualifications:

• Expertise in DevSecOps methodologies and technologies

• Ability to design, build, and operate a technology stack

• Significant experience in leading a product or development team

• Proven technical leadership skills with ability to lead a

multidisciplinary team

• Experience with Java Programming Language

• A strong technical background in software engineering/architecture

Desired Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proven effective cross-functional leadership skills (prior

leadership experience)

• Experience with container technologies such as Docker,

Kubernetes, Openshift, etc

• Security training and experience developing secure code to protect applications from attack, as well as defend against common cybersecurity vulnerabilities

• Experience designing microservice-based architecture

• Comfortable planning and executing within a continuous

integration and delivery environment

• Experience with Jenkins, Atlassian, GitLab, pom file, helm charts

• Experience with the following Web-application tools: Maven, Junit, Cobertura or Jacoco

• Excellent verbal and collaboration skills

• Experience working in technical teams across a virtual

environment

• Experience working logistics programs development

through sustainment

• Integration and test experience with large complex software systems

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
