Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an Engineering Technician to join our Florida Operations team in our Kennedy Space Center, FL office.

Role description & Responsibilities:

The Engineering Technician performs hands on activities/tasks associated with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and thermal protection systems application, assembly, and check-out operations. Knowledge of coating removal, coating application, and hydraulic assembly operations is also desired. Participates as a team member to positively influence and enhance the safety, quality, cost, and scheduling of their team. Candidate must be well organized and able to follow and execute computer-based shop assembly instructions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in aerospace or aviation hardware processing.


Skills:

  • General understanding of electronic work instruction systems (MAXIMO, Solumina).
  • Proficiency with hands-on mechanical assembly, thermal protection material application, hydraulic systems, and fuel systems.
  • Ability to read, understand engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Capability to understand and follow electronic work instruction documents.
  • Proficient with manual and power tools.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, requiring minimal oversite; flexible and adaptable to varying work scope and tasks.
  • Strives for excellence in workmanship and defect-free products.
  • Standard computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Education/Certifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required


Salary Range: $53,300 USD - $88,800 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
