Responsibilities:
  • Provide systems engineering and program support as a Model Based Systems Engineer.
  • Identify, analyze, and document system, design, interface, assessment, and validation/verification requirements to include risk assessments, work breakdown structures, system architectures, and test/evaluation activities
  • Collaborate across the customer organization working with cross-functional teams
  • Present technical information to Leadership at various levels
  • Support Digital Engineering Transformation and Model-Based Systems Engineering methodology development to improve documentation and configuration management
  • Experience in developing and verifying system requirements engineering and analyses efforts for defining functional, performance, and interface requirements for an integrated system through a disciplined systems engineering process that creates allocated flows down to the system and subsystem level
  • Experience with program management and schedule to produce risk burn-down and system model linkages to enable development and detailed design of new or improved system and subsystem capabilities and support
  • Provide Systems Engineering support to Program Design Reviews
  • Deliver Technical Design Review products and assessments and allocated baselines products for system requirements documents and performance specifications, support operational capability delivery planning and fielding decisions for the customer
Qualifications:
  • B.S. degree in STEM related field and 3+ years of relevant experience or M.S. degree in STEM related field with formal Model-Based Systems Engineering experience.
  • Ability to obtain TS Clearance
  • Working knowledge of design, interface, assessment, and validation/verification requirements from a Systems Engineering perspective
  • Demonstrated ability presenting developing models of complex systems and presenting complex information at various levels

Desired Skills:
  • Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods and tools
  • Specific tool experience with Innoslate, Cameo, SparxEA, MagicDraw, or Genesys
  • Program Management experience
  • Budget and finance tracking experience
  • Experience working with Directed Energy (High Energy Lasers & High Power Microwave) systems
  • Experience as part of a Systems Engineering team and applying policies and systems engineering principals on complex defense systems
  • Experience with computational modeling & simulation, AFSIM, high performance computing, or applied MS&A
  • Experience conducting developmental or operational testing and evaluation for military systems or other systems with similar reliability, maintainability, and supportability needs
  • Experience working in Agile teams, or with the scaled agile framework
  • Experience with Program Management or Scheduling software, such as Microsoft Project, OnePager, or Kidasa Milestones
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerAutomate, and Teams/SharePoint/Planner/Object-Oriented Programming experience, in Python, C/C++/C#, Java, etc.
  • Certifications – INCOSE ASEP, ITEA ATEP, PMI PMP, or similar
