Job Description
Lockheed Martin seeks an RF Systems Engineer to support a Data Link, Inertial Navigation, and GPS Integrated Product Team on a large acquisition program.

The engineer will provide subsystem-level support for the GPS receiver, GPS antenna, IMU, Data Link transceiver, and Data Link antenna. Subsystem-level support for these products includes design, test development, data analysis, requirements analysis, manufacturing process development, verification testing, supplier management, and production support.

The engineer will coordinate with other team members, and support trade studies, presentations, and proposals.

The engineer will participate in technical working groups that involve diverse team members and the customer.

Responsibilities include requirements/documentation maintenance, supplier oversight support, test plan generation, lab testing, HWIL integration testing, and reviewing test data.

Candidate must possess the ability to multi-task, communicate effectively across engineering disciplines, and interface effectively with the Government customer.

Up to 10% travel is required.

Where can you get to from Orlando? Orlando is located about an hour from Cocoa Beach and the "Space Coast" including NASA and the Kennedy Space Center. Tampa is about 1.5 hours from Orlando. West Palm Beach is about 2.5 hours to the south and Jacksonville is about 2 hours to the northeast. Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Interim Secret clearance prior to start
  • Must be SAP clearable
  • Experience with GPS system integration
  • Familiarity with a fundamental understanding of RF communication theory through either practice or education
  • Experience with testing in a lab environment
  • Demonstrated ability and/or knowledge to use analysis tools such as MATLAB
  • Experience with technical presentations and ability to write technical papers
Desired Skills:
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
  • Ability to create test documents such as plans, procedures, and reports
  • Familiarity with a fundamental understanding of RF communication theory through either practice or education
  • Development experience of PNT (Position, Navigation & Timing) Subsystems to include Inertial Navigation and GPS
  • Experience using test equipment such as power supplies, DMMs, Oscilloscopes, RF Power Meters, Frequency Generators, Spectrum/Signal Analyzers, and Network Analyzers
  • Experience with designing and maintaining scripts (C++ or C#) to operate test equipment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with an investigation within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
