  • Engineer familiar with radiation effects, modeling and testing or experience performing integrated circuit (IC) characterization looking to apply their knowledge to missile and space applications. The candidate will learn how ICs go through radiation qualification and lot acceptance testing.

The Locale: Orlando is a city in the Central Florida area. This region is a great place to live and to raise a family. Central Florida offers lots of attractive residential housing options. The Greater Orlando metropolitan area is the sixth largest metro area in the southeastern United States. The climate here is warm and sunny all year long for the most part. Where can you get to from Orlando? Orlando is about an hour's drive from Cocoa Beach and the "space coast" to include NASA and the Kennedy Space Center. Tampa is about 1.5 hours from Orlando. West Palm Beach is about 2.5 hours to the south and Jacksonville is about 2 hours to the northeast. Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Experience performing integrated circuits (ICs)/parts characterization with space radiation environment applications.
Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Nuclear Physics, or Nuclear Engineering with a heavy concentration in radiation testing/analysis, with relevant experience.
  • 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
  • Background in Components engineering or as a field applications engineer with experience in evaluating industry-standard ICs and associated failure modes
  • Semiconductor doping and/or acceptance testing
  • Understanding of Statistics and how it applies to ICs
  • Understanding of Single Event Effect Criticality Analysis (SEECA) (reviewing and analysis of data)
  • Understanding of EMI/RF principles
  • Circuit card design/analysis for Space applications
  • Good oral, and written communication and presentation skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
