Predictive Analytics Organization Unit builds products in the Quantitative Credit Risk Assessment space, helps Financial Institutions like Banks, Insurance and Asset Management companies make better decisions. You will be part of the development team working on building our Flagship EDFX product providing credit risk measures on over 400 million public and private global companies. You will be building responsive web applications, high performance API platform backed by huge volume of structured and unstructured data. You will have opportunity to work in an agile environment working on latest serverless technologies and solving business challenges.
We are seeking Sr. Database Engineer with experience in handling large-scale datasets using wide variety of database technologies. Looking for engineers who are enthusiastic about taking up new business challenges and can contribute towards full-stack development. We encourage engineers with fresh ideas who can learn and introduce new technologies in solving business problems. Ability to communicate and collaborate well with the global development and product teams is critical to success of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Develop Database solutions to efficiently store and retrieve large scale datasets
  • Collaborate with the rest of the developers and tune the SQL queries to improve the performance of the API platform
  • Develop POCs to choose the right database technology for different use-cases and present the findings to larger team
  • Build high-performing Database layer that can be reused for different use-cases
  • Build Serverless applications using AWS cloud native technologies
  • Collaborate with Product teams to understand the customer requirements, provide accurate estimates and adhere to the project deadlines
  • Lead the Production Support activities and provide timely resolution to Production issues
  • Actively take part in building and managing of the DR infrastructure
  • Build Unit Tests Design, implement, test and maintain server-side components and web application
  • Participate in all scrum team activities and work closely with peers to achieve continuous improvement
  • Participate in grooming/design forums to provide recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; provide input to information/data flow and understand and comply with architectural standards in all phases
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues
  • Identify and embrace new technologies to enhance the customer experience, improve the platform stability, scalability and availability
  • Collaborate with global Development, QA, DevOps and Program Management teams to successfully deliver projects
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant field
  • 10+ years of experience in database development using Postgres/Oracle/SQL Server
  • Knowledge of NoSQL Technologies like DynamoDB/MongoDB
  • Familiarity with AWS technologies like Lambda, SQS, S3, AWS Gateway
  • Familiarity with .Net/Java technologies
  • Experience in working with the Tier-1 and Tier-2 support teams
  • Familiarity with in Data warehouse technologies
  • Experience in building highly available enterprise applications and building DR infrastructure
  • Familiarity with build and deploy tools and CI/CD concepts.
  • Proficiency in Git, including the ability to evaluate and maintain the codebase during code reviews via GitHub Pull Requests.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $94,600 to $156,150, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
