We have an opening for an Entry Level Engineer working in our Imaging business within the Interventional Cardiology division. Projects will include product improvements, test method development and product sustaining activities for commercialized product. This role will utilize a variety of new and proven technologies to deliver life-changing medical devices to patients and clinicians in support of BSC’s mission.
Your responsibilities include:
- Contribute to a strong team culture around high expectations & high performance.
- Provide input into crisp decision making around key technical issues.
- Leveraging internal/external partners as necessary to achieve project objectives.
- Supporting the design & execution of structured experimental plans to drive data-based decisions.
- Understanding clinical use cases and user interface requirements to drive design decisions.
- Working cooperatively with process development, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and marketing on complex projects to ensure project success.
- Designing, developing, debugging, modifying, and testing mechanical assemblies and systems by using current tools, analysis techniques, and technologies.
- Documenting mechanical development by writing documents, reports, memos, change requests.
- Tracking mechanical development effort by creating and maintaining records in the approved tracking management tool.
- Helping solving engineering problems by analyzing the situation and recommending corrective or alternative actions.
- Analyzing, evaluating, and verifying requirements, component performance, and systems by using engineering practices.
- Investigating, researching, and selecting mechanical components, tools, equipment, and best practices.
- In all actions, demonstrating a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to all documented quality processes and procedures.
What we’re looking for:
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical, Biomedical or Chemical Engineering.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 0-3 years experience OR 0-1 years with Master’s Degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on technical inputs from multiple and varied sources.
- Strong mechanical engineering and problem-solving skills
- Experience with troubleshooting, problem solving, fixture development, and test equipment.
