Description/Job Summary

The Applications Developer supports the development of in-house applications and the ongoing extension and integration of third-party applications by developing needed web applications and integration services. This position includes being available for assisting with support related to the data stored in the applications' database and understanding how the applications handle the data.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Research, design, develop and test new web-based applications using appropriate development tools and technologies, including but not limited to ASP.NET, C#, MVC, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript, based on specifications and/or requirements as provided.
• Analyze and develop any necessary SQL databases, including tables, queries, views and/or stored procedures to facilitate the development of assigned applications.
• Perform comprehensive testing and documentation of all applications and integrations developed using appropriate testing methodologies and realistic data and inputs.
• Follow change management practices ahead of deployment to any application environment.
• Create and maintain documentation, including processes and procedures (i.e. SOPs) for all developed applications, modifications/customizations
• Provide support on applications including but not limited to bug fix, and break fix

Required Experience

• 3+ years' experience with C#, .Net 3.5+, ASP .Net (Web Forms and MVC)
• 3+ years' experience with Web Services, Javascript + jQuery, Ajax, Web API
• Experience with Crystal Report Development and SQL Server tools

Founded in 1970, RHD supports more than 160 human service programs across the country, serving tens of thousands of people every year with caring and effective programs addressing intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health, homelessness, addiction recovery and more.

RHD employees and programs in the City of Philadelphia are required to follow the COVID vaccine mandate. The City of Philadelphia has issued an Emergency Regulation Governing the Control and Prevention of COVID-19 Mandating Vaccines for Healthcare Workers and In Higher Education, Healthcare, and Related Settings ("Vaccine Mandate Regulation"), which mandates vaccine for healthcare workers and in higher education, healthcare, and related settings. This mandate became Effective on August 16, 2021 and requires Healthcare Workers and certain workers at Healthcare Institutions to be fully vaccinated by October 15, 2021. Fully vaccinated means it has been two weeks since the final dose of vaccine. The regulation does allow individuals to apply to RHD for an exemption based on a sincerely held religious belief that would prohibit vaccination for COVID-19 or because of medical conditions that preclude administration of one of the available vaccines.
