Job Description
Position Summary/Position
Under the direction of the IT Manager, Compute & Collaboration Services, the IT Architect III - Messaging & Collaboration is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Active Directory, Exchange, Office365, Azure, SCCM, Intune, IIS, DNS, Windows Servers physical and virtual systems and Microsoft supported applications. Responsibilities include design, implement, maintaining, and upgrading of all server systems in both physical and virtual environment and third-party applications. Assist other System Administrator in deploy and managing server hardware, DAS, SAN, Appliances; design, implement and support for Office365 and Azure related services. Schedule systems update, upgrade, and tune systems operations for optimal response times. Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
1. Plan, design, and test technical documentation for the implementation, support of Office 365 and all of its related core technologies including Active Directory, Cloud Identities, Exchange, Teams, ADFS, AAD Connect, and EMS.
2. Design, Implement, and Manage DNS, DHCP, GPO, NTP and SSO platform.
3. Perform technical analysis as well as cost analysis for planning, designing, installation, and on-going administration and management of IEHP’s messaging and systems infrastructures.
4. Design and implement Exchange, Azure AD, Teams, SCCM, Intune and MS related technologies.
5. Administer, Troubleshoot, and Support Exchange Infrastructure Systems, PowerShell, etc.
6. Develop, Manage, Setup and Renew SSL Cert in Both Private and Public-key Crypto.
7. Perform Intune co-management, conditional access policies, Device management and Autopilot setup
8. Promote End User experience with Microsoft office 365 products and roadmap.
9. Manage File server folder permissions.
10. Perform routine maintenance tasks for systems, application backups, patch management and OS updates.
11. Maintain and support both physical and virtual network of more than 3000 nodes consisting of Servers and Professional Workstation.
12. Respond to and support Escalated Trouble Tickets and Issues from Support Team.
13. Coordinate with vendors on hardware and software problems as they effect system operation. Supervisory Responsibilities Leading: Guides Others Experience Qualifications
Nine (9) years of Systems Administration experience in hands on Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, Azure, PowerShell, NTSF Permissions, Group Policy Objects, Exchange Messaging Infrastructure, IIS, DHCP, and DNS. Experience with supporting escalated trouble tickets. Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field or similar technical field from an accredited institution required.
In lieu of the required degree, a minimum of four (4) additional years of Systems Administration experience and one (1) of the following certifications is required for this position: MCSE Certification or O-365 Certification. This experience is in addition to the minimum years listed in the Experience Requirements above. Professional Certification
MCSE/O-365 certification preferred. Drivers License Required Yes, must have a valid California Driver's License. Knowledge Requirement
Knowledge and practical use of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, IIS, Group Policy Objects, OSI Layers, IP Routing and TCP/IP Operation, Windows Server OS and features, Office365, Azure, PowerShell, and Microsoft Distributed File System (DFS). Skills Requirement
Strong planning, organization, critical thinking, decision-making and communication (verbal and written) skills. Abilities Requirement
Ability to plan, organize and document complex system design activities and to configure systems to be consistent with operational policies/procedures. Ability to communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing, as well as perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations effectively. Position is eligible for Hybrid work location upon completing the necessary steps and receiving HR approval. All IEHP positions approved for telecommute or hybrid work locations may periodically be required to report to IEHP’s main campus for mandatory in-person meetings or for other business needs as determined by IEHP leadership. A reasonable salary expectation is between $126,256.00 and $160,992.00, based upon experience and internal equity.
