Position: Senior Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer
Job Location: United States : North Carolina : Cary
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days in office/2 days remote.
Key Responsibilities: Work cross-functionally to evaluate processes and procedures for automation opportunities, identify process improvement opportunities to allow successful conversion to an automated process. Define, implement and manage toolsets required to enable self-service infrastructure and process automation. Create a framework for other IT teams to utilize in automating jobs, processes and tasks. Consult teams to train staff and define automation best practices. Work with Cloud, Infrastructure and Network teams to automate lifecycle, configuration management and issue remediation utilizing infrastructure as code (IAC). Work with Service Management and Operations teams to automate support and end user self-service processes. Focus on cloud-native services and optimize automation landscape through the adoption of these services. Contribute to technical discussions both internally and with vendor teams. Produce high-quality, well-written technical documentation, including design plans, implementation diagrams, data flow mappings and as-built documents. Lead transformational initiatives focused on improving and simplifying the way we do business.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus two (2) years of experience building automation to create process efficiencies and business value. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): delivering automation and orchestration activities using IPcenter, HPOO or BladeLogic Atrium Orchestrator (1 year); performing requirements gathering and documentation on automation initiatives (1 year); designing, building, configuring, integrating and managing key components of an automated service; and automating processes through CLI and REST API interfaces, using scripting, development and data technologies, including PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, JSON, YAML and XML (2 years).
