Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Orlando, FL is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer


Summary


The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the programming of on-line and off-line CNC equipment used in the repair, manufacturing, and reverse engineering of turbine hot section parts in the power generation industry.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Program on-line and off-line CNC equipment such as 5 and 6 Axis High Speed Machining Centers, Continuous Dress Creep Feed Grinders, 5 Axis Sinker and Hold Drill EDM’s, HBM and VTL, CMM and ABB Robots.
  • Proven CAD/CAM software programmer experience using Solid Works, Pro-E, SurfCam and other software types.
  • Program NC 3, 4 and 5 axis equipment using Fanuc, Siemens and Allen Bradley controls.
  • Program Robotic equipment using ABB Robot Teach, ABB Robot Studio or equivalent.
  • Program LK-DMIS or Sheffield CMM equipment.
  • Experienced with use of Laser Scanning.
  • Lead technically the internal and external sources to complete assigned projects.
  • Perform other such duties as may be required

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or at least (3) years related experience and/ or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Computer Skills: advanced personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, drawings, etc
