Parsons is seeking a talented Junior Modeling and Simulation Environment Software Developer to join our diverse team supporting the Integrated Threat Analysis and Simulation Environment (ITASE) program.
ITASE provides a critical role in our nation’s defense by bringing together intelligence-backed, medium to high fidelity threat system models developed across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise into an integrated wargame simulation environment. Parsons has supported this program for ten years, with an established team and customer relationships. Because the need for accurate and integrated modeling, simulation and analysis continues to grow we are expanding our team to adapt to new challenges.

The selected candidate will be a member of the ITASE Architecture and Tools team, which develops application programming interface (API) software to facilitate threat system model interactions in a common environment. The developer will also be involved with graphical user interfaces to support the configuration, execution, visualization, and analysis of complex wargame scenarios. The developer will work alongside a team with ample mentoring and advancement opportunities.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Developing software and automated tests using C/C++ and Python on Windows and Linux Platforms
- Integrating and testing software
- Troubleshooting and reporting software anomalies
- Working in a team environment
- Managing code quality through version control, code review, automated software builds, automated unit testing
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution
- No security clearance required to start but candidate must be a US Citizen and meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a DoD Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
- Experience with C++
- Experience with Windows/Linux cross platform software development
- Good written and oral communication skills, as well as a desire to work with a highly technical team including classified customers
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring :
- Active TS/SCI DoD Security Clearance
- Experience with Python
- Experience developing software on a Linux platform
- Experience with API development or plugin-based GUI development
- Experience with Gitlab or Jenkins
