About the Company:

Our client is a fast-growing company that has revolutionized the heavy trucking industry with patented aerodynamic technologies. They are seeking a Product Development Engineer to join their team and help them continue to innovate and improve fuel efficiency.

As a Product Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and impactful projects from conceptualization to production. You will work closely with OEM customers to generate product requirements and manage ongoing projects both internally and externally. Your CAD, FEA, and aerodynamic analysis skills will be utilized to create detailed engineering drawings and perform various analyses to ensure product quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualization, development, and prototyping of innovative add-on aerodynamic devices for over the road trucks and trailers
• Work with OEM customers to generate product requirements and oversee development testing
• Create and maintain product development schedules and manage CAD models, drawings, and Bills of Material
• Fabricate production intent prototypes, tooling, and fixturing in support of ongoing production of aerodynamic products using various equipment
• Support internal testing of new products, testing at customer facilities, as well as third-party test locations
• Comply with all company policies, including but not limited to attendance and punctuality, security, and ethical conduct

Qualifications:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Strong CAD ability (Solidworks preferred) and hands-on ability for building prototypes and doing assembly
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently with basic direction
• Experience in a manufacturing/operations environment desired and experience in heavy truck a plus
• FEA background a plus (Ansys preferred) and aerodynamic knowledge and CFD background a plus
