Job Description

Key Role:

Process and analyze cyber threat intelligence data and compile standard and ad-hoc reports, as needed. Leverage expertise in cyber data and information, analyze and identify data requirements, use specialized tools and services, and develop intelligence products. Apply advanced consulting and extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience as a cyber defense analyst
  • Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols and network security methodologies
  • Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities
  • Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and access control methods
  • Ability to use data collected from a variety of cyber defense tools, including IDS alerts, firewalls, and network traffic logs to analyze events that occur in their environments for the purposes of mitigating threats
  • Top Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Cybersecurity
  • CISSP Certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of host and network access control mechanisms, including access control and capabilities lists
  • Knowledge of vulnerability information dissemination sources, including alerts, advisories, errata, and bulletins
  • Knowledge of incident response and handling methodologies
  • Ability to detect host- and network-based intrusions via intrusion detection technologies
  • Master's degree in Information Systems or Cybersecurity
  • CompTIA Security + Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
