UN COMN is seeking a Jr. Software Developer to:
- Provide software development support to Mission Planning Enterprise Contract (MPEC-II) involving F-15 program’s digital integration of weapons and aircraft flight performance modules, map and imagery data, target and intelligence threat data, aeronautical and weather data, GPS data, and air tasking and control orders
- With supervision, develop, document, maintain, and test code in .NET environment
- Perform troubleshooting of defects, operational and integration issues
- Gather and document data
- Support development, documentation, and maintenance of software architectures
- Collaborate with others to propose solutions to problems
- May assist in the specification and maintenance of software requirements
- May perform integration and qualification test of software in the target environment
- May select, tailor, and deploy processes and tools; may establish metrics
- Document deployed processes and tools and collect metrics
- Bachelor of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or chemistry or other technical degree or equivalent 4+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with .NET, C#, Visual Studio, SQL, Windows, Web API, Agile
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, while performing as a key contributor to a development team
- General Programming Skills with prior experience in software design, debugging, documentation, and testing
- Strong understanding of software development fundamentals, requirements, and the SDLC
- Knowledge of and experience with object-oriented programming required
- This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship - interim Secret clearance is required to start
Preferred
- Active Secret clearance
- Experience with Azure DevOps
- Experience with the Agile software development methodology
- Experience with intermediate formatting and stylization features in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) to include knowledge of SharePoint
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to communicate progress on assigned tasks both in writing and verbally
