Responsibilities:
GLOTECH, Inc. is seeking a Junior Telecommunications Specialist to join our team in support of projected new work in Orlando, FL. This is a full-time position with an expected duration of 6 months.

  • Perform site surveys, cable testing and installation
  • Maintain documentation related to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records
  • Develop, implement and manage policies and procedures
  • Prepare plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery
  • Assist with deployment of company LANs, WANs, Voice and wireless networks, including routers, hubs, switches, UPS, and other hardware
  • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards
  • Suggest and implement innovative networking solutions
  • Configure and test networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation
  • Monitor and troubleshoot problems as needed
  • Prepare and present network performance statistics and reports
  • Travel expectation to client sites is 100%
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
  • Three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Expertise installing, testing and repairing various types of fiber optic, twisted pair, coaxial cables and their components
  • Experience with network cable and structured cabling design
