As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will push the boundaries of what’s possible in maintaining all facilities and equipment, including major systems (HVAC, HVAC controls, sprinkler and fire detection, security, electrical, communication, and plumbing). You will contribute substantively to the team’s impact on all aspects of building and operating a 21st century production plant.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of the preventive maintenance program for our properties. Interface with our Maximo PM program.
  • Perform maintenance and/or repairs of facilities and equipment in-house or serve as the focal point for contracted efforts, as necessary.
  • Maintain our HVAC systems via hands on attention and subcontracted support. Interfaces with HVAC controls.
  • Coordinate with vendors for critical facilities support, performing functions such as soliciting and evaluating bids, reviewing work efforts, and managing to schedule.
  • Serve as interface with outside system suppliers, including security, fire suppression, HVAC, etc.
  • Organize shop and facility supplies so that they are easily accessible. Coordinate efforts with shop personnel and others, as needed.
  • Assist with the definition and expansion of Blue Origin facilities as necessary.
  • Coordinate with project leads on mobilization and demobilization of equipment as needed.
  • Coordinate with outside suppliers for the rental or purchase of equipment as needed.
  • Provide general technical and mechanical support on an as needed basis.
  • Leads, guides, and/or trains other coordinators in applicable procedures and techniques
  • Source, order, and confirm receipt of project materials as needed.
  • Help identify and acquire outside resources necessary for project support.
  • Work with local utilities authorities as needed
  • Ensure all work is permitted properly
Qualifications:
  • This position requires at least 5 years of relevant practical experience in industrial facilities, industrial project management and/or construction management.
  • Strong safety mindset and experience, including hands-on experience planning and conducting hazardous or critical operations
  • Applicants should have knowledge of industrial facility infrastructure.
  • Applicants should have significant HVAC knowledge and maintenance experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Applicants should be familiar with industrial safety.
  • Applicants must be strong subcontractor manager.
  • Project planning, schedule, and cost estimation
  • This position requires technical and manufacturing skills, but also a creative and flexible attitude.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, project and power point programs. Experience with Maximo a plus.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
