Job Description:
Orano is seeking an Engineer III to support the design, fabrication, testing modification processes performed as part of the Aiken Facility and Field Operations to support the loading and storage of spent nuclear fuel and GTCC (Greater Than Class C) nuclear waste.
The Engineer III will perform a variety of roles and tasks including but not limited to:
- Performs non-routine and varied engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems.
- Design, testing and integration of new & existing equipment and parts using Solid Works.
- On site customer support for integration of new equipment.
- Factory acceptance testing support at vendor sites for newly purchased equipment.
- On site troubleshooting and repairs of both Orano and customer owned equipment.
- Support the drafting and closing of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) related to equipment and Measuring & Testing Equipment (M&TE).
- Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.

Salary Range: $71,151 - $112,318

Ideal qualifications
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
- BS in Eng'g/Eng'g Tech. plus 3-5 years of engineering experience. An advanced degree may be substituted for related exp. (MS 1-2 yrs. or PhD 1-3 yrs.). In applicable states a PE license will be accepted in lieu of a 4 yr. engineering degree.
- Advanced knowledge of Solidworks modeling software.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic principles including reading schematic drawings.
- Experience with drafting and closing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) involving M&TE, Important to Safety Items (ITS) and Not Importantant to Safety Items (NITS).
- Good communication and writing skills including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
