Position Description:
DCS Corp is seeking a dynamic, team oriented, energetic, and customer focused Mechanical Engineer to support our U.S. Army customer at our Sterling Heights office. You will be working with a group of Engineers and Technicians providing mechanical solutions to the Ground Vehicle System Center's Robotics, Testing, Survivability, and Simulation groups.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide mechanical engineering support to our GVSC customers
Design a variety of mechanical prototype solutions on both component level and system level bases for vehicle integration efforts and crew station builds
Develop part drawing and assembly documentation
Issue work orders and purchase requisitions
Work collaboratively with other engineers and technicians at the assembly and integration phases of projects by providing technical specifications and guidance
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. citizenship is required
Must be able to obtain Secret clearance.
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Desired Skills:
Experience with design in Solidworks
Machining background
Exposure to robotics
