Overview
In this role you will administer, operate, upgrade, monitor, sustain, and support existing data centers, network, hardware, software, processes, applications, systems, databases, and other related infrastructure. Responsible for service delivery across all technology domains and all consumers, including execution of all backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and related capabilities.
  • Demonstrate specialized knowledge and expertise in their own job discipline and deep experience in integrating related disciplinary knowledge
  • You will lead disciplinary or multi-functional program of notable risk; uses sophisticated analytical thought to identify innovative solutions
  • Accountable for work of self and other junior members of the team; sets standards around which others will operate
  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
  • You will act as an advisor to management and key external partners on broad ranging projects
Role summary and job responsibilities
  • Documents all work and shows attention to detail.
  • Ensures own work and work of others is performed in accordance with policy
  • Defines processes and procedures for execution of work tasks for self and others
  • You will serve as an SME and apply specialized technical skills to complete work that may involve help desk support, switchboard support, data center operations support, production support, report production support, etc.
  • Typically, is involved in efforts of significant complexity that requires cross-GT or enterprise-wide coordination
  • Demonstrates deep understanding of essential formulas and algorithms
  • Capable of dissecting a problem into manageable parts
  • Provides feedback to other team members
  • Mentors other associates on the team
  • May allocate resources and/or prioritize tasks for others
  • Other duties as assigned
Business knowledge
  • Possesses general understanding of the technology industry
  • Possesses understanding of how the GT organization is structured and understands how to navigate GT for the purposes of accomplishing specified work tasks
  • Understands how the business units are organized across the firm and the connections of their work to the operations of the business
Requirements
  • Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Understands code management, strategic capacity planning, performance tuning, etc.
  • Able to lead cross-functional teams of experts for executing processes and resolving problems
  • Able to correlate disparate events across multiple technologies/platforms
  • Effectively able to execute in-depth system administrative functions and troubleshooting
FINRA Requirements
FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for remote work up to three days a week.
