This Opportunity

In this position, you will have the opportunity to build innovative cloud services for images, that will leverage your knowledge of healthcare imaging, to be leveraged in the healthcare and medical industries. Successful candidates will have knowledge of one or more areas of medical imaging for radiology, digital pathology, modality development etc.

You will help derive and deliver insights from peta-bytes of healthcare data, that will accelerate research, drug discovery and treatment delivery. You will harness computing power at a massive scale to process one of the nation's most comprehensive repositories of electronic health records sourced directly from our healthcare system partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on implementation of scalable Image processing solutions for the healthcare domain
  • Experience or excitement about building reliable, secure, and scalable software solutions using modern cloud-based paradigms
  • Keep customers first in a DevOps model
  • Hands-on implementation of scalable Image processing solutions for the healthcare domain, using DICOM standard
  • DICOM environment configuration and Development of services using the DICOM protocol methods like Store, Storage commitment, Query/Retrieve
  • Develop cutting edge software that performs compression, segmentation, contour detection
  • Experience migrating high volume image data
  • Learn quickly and iterate rapidly in an evolving product landscape
  • Design distributed systems, DNS cache, data pipelines, platform APIs
  • Drive entire features, mentor junior developers, and cultivate a positive work environment
  • Strictly uphold the privacy and security of patient data obtained from our healthcare partners

Key Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in the development and integration of complex imaging systems and/or medical image diagnosis software
  • Experience in developing with C # and/or C++
  • 3 years of experience with DICOM tools like DCMTK/JDICOM/OpenDICOM or similar
  • Strong knowledge (3 years or more) of DICOM standard, having developed or extended servers such as dcm4che, Orthanc etc.
  • Prior experience developing healthcare components (PACS, VNA, RIS) and workflows
  • Experience with one or more of DICOM, HL7 is a plus
  • Experience building DICOM based integrations using IHE XDS standards for interoperability across healthcare systems
  • Experience debugging native dlls, binary formats is a plus
  • Prior work on containers, Kubernetes is a plus
  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field. An M.S. or PhD is a plus

  • The base pay for this position is $152,00 to $233,000. The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target. Pay is based on several factors including location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional compensation such as incentive pay and stock options.
