We’re looking for an amazing Java Developer to fill this role, which is based in our Santa Clarita office. You’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining backend API’s and Web Services which support and enhance their application’s ability to connect to and send/receive required data from other Enterprise systems and applications. The Java Developers work is focused on ensuring data moves smoothly between systems while also making sure all policies for Security, Privacy and related compliance needs are met. The Java Developer works closely with front end UI Developers and other technical team members to create applications and systems that meet business needs. The Java Developer is responsible for ensuring backend solutions are scalable, efficient, secure and use industry best practices at all times.

Responsibilities

• Implements data integration and data access solutions across various legacy, enterprise, and departmental applications via web services, XML, SOA, WSDL, REST, Messaging services
• Designs and implements high performance, scalable enterprise information architecture and distributed applications design
• Create and maintain web application architectural documentation and standards
• Participates in code reviews and provides suggestions to improve quality and comply with architectural, design and coding standards and best practices

Requirements

• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
• 5+ years of commercial or enterprise large scale web application and implementation, specifically Java J2EE, JSP
• 3+ years development and implementation of Web Services and/or Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
• 3+ years experience with messaging service specifically ActiveMQ (AMQ)
• 3+ years working experience with REST API
• 2+ experience with API Gateway development platforms
• Working experience and expertise with Spring (Spring Boot, Spring Security) and Hibernate, JPA
• Experience with WebSphere preferred
• Experience using application tools such as App Dynamics, Splunk, and/or DynaTrace
• Working knowledge of relational databases (Oracle) and database design
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration practices
• Familiarity with Javascript and Ember/React is preferred but not required
• Must be a team player, able to work well with others
• Familiarity with Scrum / Agile Processes a plus

• Base Salary Range: $78,200.00 to $105,600.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
