Specific Job Summary
Core Work Activities
Responsible for delivery of high-quality inspection services to properties within inspection program.
Make decisions for complex fire protection and life safety issues and when necessary, refers to other members within Fire and Life Safety and if necessary, obtain latest information from outside experts.
Regularly monitor customer satisfaction and take personal responsibility to ensure it.
Responsible for delivery of high-quality inspection reports.
Communicate on a regular basis with supervisors.
Work efficiently and effectively with very little supervision.
Remain current with emerging technologies, national codes and best methods for automatic sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, life safety, and smoke control.
Responsible for own work and contributing to team, department, and business results.
Responsible for explaining fire protection concepts at all levels, and enforce standards while strengthening relationships, occasionally under pressure, and train associates in the operations of life safety systems and procedures.
Supervise and manage Fire Protection Vendors for maximum results and manage costs.
Work is performed in internal and external environments, with exposure to inclement conditions, and extreme temperatures.
Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 95%), for which a U.S. Passport is required within the first six (6) months of hire.
Safety and Security
Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.
Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).
Reports work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
Maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property premises.
Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel.
Follow Hazardous Material Management Program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals, fertilizer, pesticides, blood borne pathogens, etc., including using Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.

Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
Follow company and department policies and procedures.
Protect company tools, equipment, machines, or other assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Guest Relations
Address guest service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
Provide assistance to individuals with disabilities, including assisting visually, hearing, or physically impaired individuals within guidelines (e.g., escorting them when requested, using words to explain actions, writing directions on paper, moving objects out of the way, or offering access to Braille or TDD phones).
Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns, and requests using brand or property specific processes (e.g., LEARN, PLEASED, Guest Response, LEAP) to resolve issues, delight, and build trust.
Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible.
Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell.
Communication
Prepares and reviews written documents (e.g., daily logs, business letters, memoranda, reports), including proofreading and editing written information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Speaks to Associate/Visitors/Contractors and co-workers using clear, appropriate, and professional language.
Exchanges information with other associates using electronic devices (e.g., cell/mobile phones, two-way radios, and email).
Working with Others
Handles sensitive issues with associates and/or Associate/Visitors/Contractors with tact, respect, diplomacy, and confidentiality.

Specific Candidate Profile
Education:
College-level qualifications preferred.
Fire Inspector I & II Certification required within first two (2) years of hire.
Experience:
Minimum of 15 years of fire service experience.
No related work or supervisory experience is required.
