The Office 365 Engineer will be part of a large team that provides enterprise IT platform, infrastructure, and software capabilities to enable a large federal agency the secure access, management and optimization of data and information, and business processes related to the mission needs of the agency. The O365 Engineer will be on a team that provides design, implementation, and ongoing management and documentation of all access management processes, environments, and related technical instructions, such as Active Directory and ADFS, Office 365, Integrated DNS (AWS Route 53), and Realmd. Under the support and guideance of senior engineers, the junior O365 Engineer will support the following:
- Manage and support Shared and Group Mailboxes within the existing Exchange/Office 365 environment.
- Configure mail-relay services for applications and notification mailings within the environment.
- Implement integrated email security filtering.
- Troubleshoot issues related to email performance, SPAM, etc.
- Engineer and Support Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) integration (necessary for Office 365).
Required Skills
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related IT field (or 4+ years of related IT engineering / support experience)
- Knowledgeable on Office 365 architecture, engineering, and adminstration through hands-on work or training
- Highly motivated learner with strong desire to grow skills in Cloud engineering
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Desirable Skills
- Microsoft certification in Office 365 / Microsoft 365
- At least 1 year of full-time work experience as an Office 365 Engineer or Administrator
- Experience working on a federal government contract
