DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Develops, writes clear, maintainable and portable code, and debugs using the relevant programming languages.
- Manages a small group of engineers within the Engineering department.
- May take engineering lead role in a project, as well as assist with overall direction of the project, while working with minimal supervision.
- Recommends and determines time, budget and software functionality trade-offs.
- Makes recommendations regarding system architectural design, data structures, and algorithm development.
- Reviews and optimizes other engineers’ code.
- Provides effective solutions by applying advanced programming skills and knowledge.
- Provides technical documentation and explanations intended for distribution to other groups (internal and external).
- Works with direct supervisors to help determine direction of the Engineering department to achieve long-term goals for the company.
- Mentors less experienced members of the team.
- Applies professional expertise to review, analyze and test products under development as a contributing member of a production team to ensure delivery of Nintendo’s high standard of quality and timeliness.
- Participates in company-wide activities such as product review, analysis and testing as required.
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
- 10 or more years of software engineering experience in relevant field.
- Excellent all-around programming skills including ability to review and optimize other engineers’ code.
- In-depth understanding of interactive entertainment methodologies and production pipeline.
- Advanced knowledge of the relevant programming languages (C/C++ and/or Web Development (HTML, JavaScript, and CSS)) required.
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent education and experience.
This position includes a base salary range of $150,530 - $225,796 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
