Job Description
- Providing support for installation, configuration and maintenance of fire and security systems at all Publix retail locations.
- Planning and assisting with the management, facilitation and execution of fire and security system projects. Specifically, new stores, remodels and maintenance support
- Creating and analyzing trending reports to identify potential areas for cost reduction including internal process changes and alternative sources for equipment and services
- Coordinating with vendors and contractors to schedule projects, ensuring timeline objectives and goals are met; evaluating and comparing services, as well as inspecting the project for quality assurance
- Serving as a liaison with internal and external resources such as technology service providers, manufacturers, internal user groups (Manufacturing, Retail, Distribution, Real Estate, Loss Prevention) and technical support
- Reviewing, developing, and administering supplier contracts while working with internal business partners to provide optimal contract terms for Publix
- Work directly with the service vendors for invoicing, system support management and incident resolution
Required Qualifications:
- Associates degree in or equivalent experience in a related field of voice/data communications, Electronics, Project Management, Computer Science, or Business Administration
- At least 5 + years’ experience in Information Technology hardware and software solutions, project management and working with business accounting principles
- Minimum of three years’ experience with vendor management
- Two years’ experience with fire and security system hardware
- Two years’ experience with low voltage systems
- Two years’ experience with cabling infrastructure practices
- Ability to travel as least once a month as required
- Ability to multi-task several projects with minimal supervision
- Strong ability and experience developing and executing RFPs, writing proposals and recommendations, and preparing financial spreadsheets
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Office 365, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and conflict management skills
- High degree of self-motivation, commitment and integrity
- Ability to interact effectively and appropriately with all levels of management and associates
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal skills, including presentation skills
- Good human relation skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team member)
