You will build the infrastructure for the trust foundation of secure supply chains and deployments for every Microsoft product team as well as many external customers.

We are Product Release and Security Services (PRSS), and we’re looking for a motivated Software Engineer with a desire to deliver highly secure management systems for X.509 certificates and other scenarios. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations of websites and other services at a high security and accessibility bar. Responsibilities

  • Software design and documentation
  • Software implementation and testing
  • Software deployments
  • Responding to and mitigating any live site issues impacting customers
  • Participating in code reviews of other team members.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2 + years professional experience developing web services (websites or web API's)

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years professional experience developing web services (websites or web API's)
  • Professional experience with website technologies such as JavaScript and single-page-application frameworks
  • Professional experience with Public-Key Infrastructure (PKI) or other cybersecurity area

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
