Saab, Inc, is currently recruiting for Associate Software Engineers to work on current programs to develop a common, flexible architecture that is extensible to future programs. You will be an individual contributor as part of a team of engineers developing radar systems. You will have an opportunity to learn and solve the problem space related to radar surveillance systems. As an entry level Software Engineer, it is preferred you work on-site in Syracuse, NY in order to learn and grow your Software Skills. With that said it is a hybrid schedule (3 days working in the office, 2 days working from home).
Job Highlights:

Participate in technical meetings and design reviews (both internally and externally)

Participate in peer/technical reviews
-
Plan for and participate in system integration.

Collaborate with a development team of up to 4-6 developers.

Work with the following Software; Kubernetes, C++, Object-Oriented Design and analysis, SysML, Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE)
Skills and Experience:
-
BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering discipline (or similar)

0-3+ years of software development/architecture experience

Must have or be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance

Desired Experience:
-
Software development in a Linux environment
-
UML modeling tools for software design
-
Developing software for radar applications
-
With CORBA and DDS
-
Using GoogleTest/GoogleMock unit test framework

With Klocwork, Coverity and SonarQube code analysis tools

Using Subversion (SVN) for configuration management.

Using the Atlassian JIRA/Confluence/Crucible tool sets

Citizenship Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
